Oreo Delight

oreo delight

Give me a fantastic, layered dessert that requires little to no baking any day of the week, and I will be happy. I have always been a sucker for the old chocolate delight recipe that has been around for years. I am all about changing that original recipe up to lemon, also. However, the mere mention of an Oreo Delight and you have me drooling!

Oreo Delight is a new recipe to me that will make its way into the old trusty recipe file. It’s a no-bake dessert with layers of goodness all the way through. This luscious dessert comes together quickly with very few ingredients.

With Labor Day just around the corner and the end of the summer cookouts, this is sure to be devoured by friends and family. It’s still hot out there, so take advantage of this no-fuss, no-bake dessert for all of your upcoming get-togethers.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.3-ounce package) Oreos
  • 6 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 (8-ounce containers) Cool Whip thawed
  • 1 (8-ounce package) cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (5.0-ounce box) instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 3/4 cups milk

Instructions

  • Crush Oreos in a food processor or you can place them in a ziptop bag, zip and crush them using a rolling pin. After crushing, set aside 1 cup for the topping.
  • In a medium bowl stir together remaining Oreo crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Refrigerate while you mix up the next layer.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar and beat. Fold in 8-ounces Cool Whip. Carefully spread this over the Oreo crust.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until smooth and it starts to thicken. Pour over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate until firm.
  • When the pudding has set. Spread the remaining 8-ounce Cool Whip over the top. Sprinkle with the reserved Oreo crumbs. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Hi, I'm Amye. I started Not Just Sunday Dinner in 2011 after moving back to Georgia. I grew up in North Georgia and have lived in different parts of Georgia most of my life. After living in Florida for five years we moved back to Georgia in the summer of 2009. I've always loved Georgia, but now Florida holds a special place in my heart as well. I have been married for 26 years to a wonderful man, Greg. We have two children, Wes, 21 years old and a third year college student, and Savannah, 18 years old and a freshman in college. Greg and I have started "dating" again. Since the kids only want to see us when they need money
